Another day at the office, they posted two more jobs at work. I have till April-ish in my current job, apparently multinational companies are kinda vague on the details of when you get laid off. The two jobs posted are essentially a variation of what I do now combined with only working with the most angry sub-set of clients and I about 100% sure I can get one of them. Same company, no employment lag, probably same pay Or head out somewhere new. I'd get severance, unemployment, the worst job market ever, and the motivation to get off my ass, but now there are officially options.

I came home to an empty house, poured myself a coffee, dropped a note on the fridge and was out. Headed right over to the Manila disc golf course. The fog had rolled in thick at noon and it was the perfect cold hazy golfin weather. Around hole four there is a strait shot towards the bay. I had a great drive and was set up for a long putt to the pin. Before shooting it I glanced out at the bay.
It was low tide and the mud flats were exposed close to shore. There were a million birds doing their thing in front me. To the south I could make out the bridge a little, but the rest stretched out to infinite fog. The bay reflected the fog and they danced at the horizon line till out of view. The cool air and calmness of it all just sank in. It was beautiful pictures or words hardly do it justice.
I turned; the putt was out of my hand and in the basket for an appropriate birdie. When I got home, there is a message on the machine and the most beautiful woman in the world is heading this way with a pizza... truly awesome!
